Algernon: My dear fellow Jack , take a seat (Jack nervously takes a seat), so tell me Jack let's get straight to business , just how you like it. What is this emergency you have been telling me about?
Jack: my dear fellow Algy I am bewildered by how i can explain this to you.Your cousin, Gwendolen , i want to propose to her...Today...
Algernon:I beg you pardon?(flabbergasted)
Jack:Algy listen , i know i may be going a bit too fast with this delicate case , despite that i want to get married to Gwendolen.
Algernon:Jack, you know my views on marriage. It is a waste of time.(languidly)
Jack:May i ask why?
Algernon: i will explain thoroughly my intentions of my next visit.Hand me the cigarette case Jack will you?
Jack:Here(hands the cigarette case)
After a few second of reflection.

Jack: May i have four bottles of Veuve Cliquo , and four bottles of Bordeaux 1800 rouge.
Lane:Alright sir.(walks towards the door)
Jack:Lane, what are your views on marriage?
Lane:negative sir
Jack:(sceptical look )Alright Lane , we will talk about this another time. , Get Algy a lot of food , he loves eating.
www you have at least attempted to capture the register of the characters. The topics are relevant and there is reference to what we see in the play.
ReplyDeleteebi understandably as this is the first thing you have done like this there are a number of areas for improvement. You have established status between the characters successfully especially with Lane.
You need to answer the question given rather than another of your choosing. You seem to have re-hashed the themes from Scene 1 rather than imagined what might have been the topic of an earlier meeting.
